Keep getting message to update graphics driver02 Feb 2010 05:21 GMT12
A message keeps popping up in one of my machines in an account running
in the background. It keeps saying, "warning: please update the display
driver and program". It looks like it's coming from Nvidia about the
graphics driver. So I updated to the latest 195.62 WHQL drivers from ...

Next upcoming generation of video cards, and backwards compatability01 Dec 2009 06:51 GMT2

Rotating Screen Resolution15 Oct 2009 21:47 GMT3
I am looking to rotate the screen orientation so that it is easier for

I'm considering getting a 5870.    I'd like to run an HDMI cable (and no
additional cables) to my TV.   Can I get video and sound from the 5870 card?
I know HDMI can carry sound, I don't know if it will when attached to a
5870.

Ati 4870 - Larger Screen Needed To Get Full Benefit??05 Mar 2010 23:34 GMT1
I'm thinking of buying a ATI RADEON 4870(or higher) card (1024mb). I'v
read somewhere that you would only get the full benefit of this car
only if you have at least a 21" LCD monitor and anything smaller woul
be a waste of money.  Is this right? I've have a 19" LCD monitor and

ATI and Physx?23 Feb 2010 18:46 GMT5
It's time for a hardware upgrade and I am wondering which graphics card I

bothers me with ATI cards is the lack of Physx. How does this work in a

Cat 10.2 is out, lots of improvements for everyone.  If you have a HD5000
series board, lots of improvements for CrossFireX.  HardOCP has a good
article up on the 10.2 and 10.3 updates if you are interested.  See at:

I have a Dell OptiPlex GX260 (discarded from my job) that I figure
I'll use as a replacement for my aging (old really) current machine.
Pentium 4, 2GHz, 2GB RAM, integrated Intel 845G graphics w/shared memory.
It's small form factor so the power supply is only about 160W.
