When I try to search a newsgroup using Thunderbird I get
A News (NNTP) error occurred: xpat not supported
Any ideas how to fix this?

We thought we'd try the latest Eudora.  Apparently it is now done by
Mozilla.  Didn't like it and uninstalled.  But now there is a new column
in the email headers in TB which indicates the word "read" for every
email that has been read.  And when we minimize TB then maximize it . ...

For a mistake, in reading a ng with TB, I answered "no" in downloading
new news.
Now I need the new news, but I can't download them.
