Best Raid 1 Controller Card ?

I am in the process of picking out a Raid Controller for allot of
machine at work.
I have used the Promise TX2300. They are moody cards. They work on
some machines and not on others
and the machines are identical. I need one that works and has good
instructions and works all the time. The documentation for the
Promise
card is useless.

I need SATA and PCI. Not PCI-X or IDE.

I would recommend 3ware. Not cheap, but the promise-cards are
really fakeRAID, i.e. BIOS raid. That is a lso the reason
for their ''moodyness''.

You want firmware RAID, not hardware (which is pci-x and no faster).
