I'm configuring a dell vostro 1500 and was looking at the processors.
Does anyone know how much faster the intel core 2 duo t7100 @ 1.8ghz
vs the t5470 @ 1.6ghz. Both have 2MB L2 Cache, 800mhz fsb. Dell
wants $115 and I didn't know if I would be able to see the difference
when using the computer. I did check tomshardware but didn't find it
much help.

I would bet little to no perceptible difference. Just load it up with RAM.
(2gb for Vista).
