The faster processor for the Inspiron 8200 is the 2.6GHz P4-M with Intel
code: SL6WZ
You can google eBay with the code SL6WZ to find one. Yes, it is very
expensive, I bougth the mine for about $170.
Anyway is is full compatible with the Inspiron 8200 hardware, the only
problems is the temperature, I adopted the software i8kfanGUI (it is a free
software search it on google too) to control and monitoring of the fans, the
GPU and CPU temperatures. Pay attention to use only the v.3.0 or superior of
this software because with the previous editions I wasn't able to maintain
the temperature of this fast CPU at acceptable limit.

No matter what, i generally install i8kfanGUI on any Dell laptop to give people
the much-needed fan control. On some systems, it does not do much. On
others, typically more expensive with a lot of sensors, it is terrific.
Now why wouldn't Dell have its own utility software to do the same? Or other
name brands, for that matter? Probably because packaging a fan control utility
with a system is an implicit admission that heat can be a problem, and this
would open up the flood gates for class-action lawsuits every time a laptop
fried itself because of excessive heat. Never mind that the owner of a laptop
has 15 long-haired cats running around, and that the vents are clogged with cat
hair. Perhaps an exaggeration, but furry pets are a known enemy of computers.
Make mine a goldfish. Glub. Glub.
