I am getting a laptop skin and wondered if I can remove the Dell badge
on the front of my laptop? It is a Latitude c640 I don't really want to
take it all apart so any ideas?

FWIW, this is the service manual.

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latc640/sm_en/index.htm

Are you referring the the dell aluminum logo behind the screen? That
should just pry off. The one near the base of the dispaly assembly, on
the front side of the screen is molded into the plastic. You can't do
anything with it, except maybe sandpaper, and a razor blade. Are you
referring to a different logo?

Yes I think the skin will stick better if it is removed. But then I was
thinking this morning it might not be a good idea as it will leave a
hole under the skin! Oh well back to the drawing board! (what did they
go back to before they invented them?)

Have fun

One possible way out is to put a hole in the skin that corresponds to
the logo. It would be easiest to do it AFTER the skin is applied. A
razor would work.
