Agreed.
The changes didn't amount to much on the first production(s) so June
or July might be the better time.
I'll keep glued to the news.

ReaDy?
June 4, 2007 is around the corner. This chipset release should make a
big splash in the Retail Consumer Market.
DDR 3 is popping up everywhere so you know people are just itching to
get there hands on something new hardware for testing.
In Asia now and P35 Boards are no where to be found.
Go Bears.
Got any link that I can read about the improved P35 chipset over the
current P35? There is the X38 coming which only support DDR3, but I
am more interested in P35 which also support DDR2.

Salt Creek is especially noteworthy, as it will include "Intel 3 Series"
chipsets, which will include the X38 (due in Q3 2007) on the high-end, as
well as the P35 (Q2 2007) in the mainstream and G35 (Q3 2007) and G33 (Q2
2007) in the entry-level segment. All 3-Series chipsets will be based on the
ICH9 southbridge and offer a slightly varying feature set. Targeted at
dual-core and quad-core enthusiast computers, the X38 chipset will offer
dual x16 graphics support, introduce PCI Express 2.0 capability, DDR3-1333
memory support and bring FSB1333 to the desktop. G35 will aim at
entertainment PCs, support Clear Video technology, DirectX10, native HDCP
integration to deal with high definition DRM, and run DDR3 1066, or DDR2 800
memory devices. P35 and G33 will also support DDR 3 memory and use
integrated graphics solutions.
The ICH9 southbridge will also serve as initial platform for Intel's first
45 nm processor generation, which will be based on the mobile "Penryn" CPU
that is scheduled to be launched in the second quarter of 2008. ICH9 will
continue the legacy removal that has begun with the current ICH8 version:
PATA support will be disappearing from the mobile version; there will be
added USB support (12 ports) and a reduced power consumption of less than
3.5 watt

Yes. I've come across ton's of forums discussion on P65's overclocked
unlocked performance with DDR2 prior to the cross over to P35
BearLake. You know the old adage when DFI comes to town you've got
Transitions, CrossHairs or OverLap in generations to consider. Of
course, the is the best time to get a hype'd fine tuned piece of
equiptment before the next batch of fine Wine is developed.
Performance at a value before higher cost for adaptations to
mainstream.
Yes I could clip or list them all out here but thats just a plug for
more chitchat for commerce. I'm here for good solid CAPS on news.
Be Aware Bear.

When I posted, I was just wondering if he had read anything solid
about better P35 board due to be released later this year. Asus ,
Gigabyte and MSI will have their current P35 board for sale next week
when NDA expires. As for DFI, if they go by the same schedule as
their P965 board, then we won't see their P35 till Q2 next year.
