Can I swap a DVD player for a CD burner in my notebook?

Can I swap a DVD player for a CD burner in my notebook? My notebook
has a DVD /CD player only in it. It has an adapter on the back of the
drive. Can I replace it with a CD-RW burner or are burner and players
have different configured plugs at the back for the adapter to plug
into?

yes you can put a cdrw in but it MUST be made for your specific model.
They are not cheap.
